This name is inspired by an amazing podcasts “Darknet Diaries” by Jack Rhysider…

Tor browser is used to access the dark web, deep web, dark net, or whatever you want to call it. Tor is not a regular browser like Google or Duck Duck Go; it has Multi-Layer Encryption.

“Is it illegal to use the dark web??” is the first thing that comes to mind. Simply put, no it is totally legal to access the dark web. Tor browser provides complete anonymity and ensures that no one can trace you, yet with such strength comes risk. In-fact it’s their tagline

What is the tor and how does it work?? Tor encrypts the sender’s communication in layers, much like an onion’s layers, which is how the system received its name. Searches or messages sent via the Tor browser do not go directly to their intended destination. Instead, they are relayed through “nodes,” which are other computers operated by Tor users. At each node, a layer of encryption is taken off and the message is then sent on to the next. Each node knows the identity of the previous node and the one that comes next, but does not know the others in the chain. Therefore it’s extremely difficult to track a message’s entire journey or to work out where it started and who sent it.

Basically, the dark web is a place where you can get whatever you’ve ever dreamed of literately every single thing. Using Tor or visiting the Dark Web are not unlawful in themselves. It is of course illegal to carry out illegal acts anonymously. Drugs, pornography, firearms, passwords and usernames for streaming sites, credit card and debit card information, bank account details and passwords, fake passports, diplomas, and much more is all available on the dark web.

How Could You Know If Your Personal Information Is On The Dark Web? Your banking, social media, and email accounts, as well as your Social Security number, may be available for purchase on the dark web. Try doing a scan of the dark web to check if any of your personal information is floating around there. You might also join up for a dark web monitoring service. These programmes will notify you if they come across any of your personal information.

Now every thing has pros and cons firstly the benefits Journalists and hackers, for example, frequently collaborate to expose corruption in corporations and government institutions. They could interact with each other on the dark web without being noticed by the same groups they’re investigating. In countries with harsh or authoritarian governments, the dark web is also useful. Traditional web browsers may not be able to view news sites critical of these governments for citizens in these nations. These citizens can gain anonymous access to online information and avoid censorship by accessing the dark web.

Some people utilize it inadvertently abuse the authority that comes with it by making illegal behavior more accessible. The dark web and cryptocurrency, for example, theoretically make it much easier to hire someone to conduct certain crimes. While the dark web guarantees users privacy, it can also be used to invade others’ privacy. On the dark web, private images, medical records, and financial information have all been taken and shared.

For hackers black hat off-course, Tor is like a second home. Illegal pornography specifically, child pornography is the type of content that has the most popularity on the dark web. Despite the fact that child pornography is difficult to uncover even on the dark web, it accounts for about 80% of its online traffic.

The dark web is a tool whose purpose is determined by the user. It can be used to sell or buy firearms, pornography, or for justice or freedom of expression.

It’s not like you should use or not use it because it has advantages and disadvantages. I think first and foremost, you must be aware of it, and if the scenario arises, don’t fall back on the argument that it’s illegal; it’s completely legal.
Basically, the situation is this:

Brain Tattoo:-

  • Check out “Darknet Diaries,” a fantastic podcast by Jack Rhysider.
  • Tor isn’t your regular browser; it’s used to access the dark web and works in layers similar to an onion, as the name.
  • It is not illegal, but most criminal actions are carried out on the dark web. It can, however, be utilized for good.
  • Everything is available on the darkweb, from your social media accounts to your banking information, from drugs to pornography to guns.
  • To safeguard your privacy from being sold on the dark web, run scans on a frequent basis.
